SayClip

Terms of Service

Effective date: July 17, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the SayClip app and related services (“the Service”), operated by Darak (“we”, “us”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

SayClip helps you learn a language using short Korean video clips through listening, shadowing (speaking along), and dictation. Features and content may be added or changed over time.

2. Eligibility

The Service is available only to people aged 14 or older. If you are under 14, you may not use the Service. By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 14 years old.

3. Changes to these Terms

  1. These Terms apply to everyone who uses the Service.
  2. We may update these Terms within the limits of applicable law, and will announce changes in the app or on this page.
  3. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the Service and delete the app.

4. Paid features

  1. Some learning features and the learning materials we create are available through a paid subscription (“Subscription”).
  2. The scope of any free access may change at our discretion.

5. Subscription and billing

  1. Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store. Billing, refunds, and subscription management follow Apple’s policies and procedures.
  2. Subscriptions renew automatically. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, the Subscription renews on the same terms and your Apple App Store account is charged at renewal.
  3. The price and billing period (for example, monthly or yearly) are those shown on the in-app purchase screen and may vary by country or region.
  4. You can cancel in your device’s App Store account settings under Subscriptions. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep access for the period you have already paid for.
  5. Refunds are handled under Apple’s refund policy. We do not process refunds directly for purchases made through the App Store.

6. Content and copyright

  1. Learning materials such as explanations, translations, and edited content are owned by us.
  2. Video clips play through YouTube’s official embedded player, and the copyright in those videos belongs to their original owners. Use of the videos is subject to YouTube’s Terms of Service.
  3. You may use the Service and its content only for personal, non-commercial learning. You may not copy, distribute, sell, or create derivative works without our prior consent.

7. Your responsibilities

You agree not to:

  1. Interfere with the normal operation of the Service.
  2. Reverse-engineer, copy, or modify the Service, or access paid features by improper means.
  3. Record, download, or capture the Service or the videos and content within it in order to reproduce, distribute, or transmit them.
  4. Access the Service, or collect data from it, using bots, scrapers, or other automated means.
  5. Resell, transfer, or share your Subscription with others.
  6. Use the Service in violation of applicable law or these Terms.

8. Availability and changes

  1. We strive to keep the Service available, but may temporarily suspend all or part of it for maintenance, technical issues, or events beyond our control.
  2. We may discontinue the Service, in which case we will give notice in the app or on this page in advance.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

  1. SayClip is a learning aid. We do not guarantee any particular learning outcome or improvement in language ability.
  2. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from your use of the Service, absent our willful misconduct or gross negligence.
  3. Translations and explanations in the Service are provided to support learning. Because Korean relies heavily on context and nuance, some meaning may be lost when it is rendered into another language, and a translation may not fully convey the original expression. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of translations or explanations; they are provided for learning reference only.
  4. Automated results, such as on-device speech recognition, are for reference only and are not guaranteed to be accurate.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any dispute relating to the Service will be subject to the courts having jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
